Role of a toastmaster
Toastmasters act as the master of ceremonies at weddings. The smooth and efficient running of the reception is their responsibility. The toastmaster will wear his traditional ceremonial clothes, adding to the pomp and splendour of the occasion.
The toastmaster is discreet throughout the day, coordinating, directing and announcing the ceremonial proceedings. The role of the toastmaster allows you and your family to enjoy the day and relax knowing that your day will be running exactly as you previously discussed.
Your toastmaster will also help the bride’s father, the best man and the groom when it is time for them to make their wedding speeches, introducing them, telling them when to stand up, and even giving them the correct wording for the toasts they should be proposing.
Role of a celebrant
A celebrant is different from a Vicar, Priest, Registrar or Humanist officiant. A celebrant will offer a completely personalised service where no two ceremonies are the same. The ceremony will be unique and personal to you and your partner and takes place after you have been legally married. This means that if you would like your ceremony outside or in another venue where legal ceremonies cannot take place, then this is the answer for you.
These ceremonies can include the use of or reference to any religion, including the use of poems, verses, hymns and music.
